Cindy Essex graduates from Eastern Oregon University

Cindy Essex, of Washougal, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Eastern Oregon University during the 2013-14 academic year. Essex earned a BS degree in Liberal Studies/2 EOU Minors.

Following the completion of final grades for summer term, EOU has awarded 700 bachelor's degrees, 89 master's degrees, 11 certificates and two associate's degrees during the 2013-14 academic year.

Students graduating with honors earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above and an EOU GPA of the following:

• Summa Cum Laude = GPA of 3.85 - 4.0
• Magna Cum Laude = GPA of 3.70-3.84
• Cum Laude = GPA of 3.50-3.69
